Melisa serves as a Senior Risk Specialist in Commercial Lines at Avery Insurance, bringing over two decades of experience in the insurance industry. Her career includes roles at a large national brokerage and several independent agencies, where she has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional client service.
Throughout her career, Melisa has worked with a diverse portfolio of clients—including Main Street businesses, contractors, manufacturers, life science companies, family offices, and non-profit organizations. She is committed to providing tailored insurance solutions through Avery’s trusted carrier partners, with whom she has cultivated long-standing relationships.
Melisa holds the Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designation and earned her B.S. in Business Administration from Bentley University. A New Hampshire native, she grew up in Dover and now resides in the Lakes Region with her husband, Eric. She is the proud mother of Tiernan, currently serving in the U.S. Navy in Japan, and Jazlyn, a high school senior. She also celebrates her growing family with her stepson Jacob, his wife Stacy, and their son Grayson.
Outside of work, Melisa is a certified End-of-Life Doula and is passionate about supporting hospice patients. In her free time, she enjoys walking her dogs, Macha and Aengus, cooking, gardening, and staying active at The Soulshine Studio.
