Avery Insurance is pleased to announce Lori Davis has joined the Agency as its Director of Business Development. In her role, Lori will build on client relationships, manage new opportunities, evaluate new products/services, and follow emerging trends in order to best serve Avery current and future clients.
With more than 30 years of experience in the industry, Lori has worked in both the company and agency arenas. Prior to joining Avery, Lori was employed as an Underwriter/Account Executive with Travelers and before that with Patriot Insurance as a Commercial Lines Underwriter/Field Manager.
“Lori’s diverse background and depth of knowledge in all areas of risk mitigation will enhance our overall client service,” said Tod O’Dowd, Agency Principal. “Her industry experience is remarkable and will be a great resource to our clients and the entire Avery team.”
Lori graduated from Colby College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Government. She obtained her Certified Insurance Counselor accreditation in 1991. She was a former Chairperson for the Maine Insurance Agents Association, Young Agents Committee and was named Chairperson of the Year by IIAA New England for her work within the Association. Davis presently sits on the Board of Directors of the Bath Area Food Bank where she is Chair of the Governance Committee. She also serves as a volunteer for the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program.
